Checking these factors of your soil is important before setting up your garden

The soil as we know plays the most important factor for the growth of your plant. Plants can withstand the weather conditions after doing certain adaptations but if the soil type is largely different from the natural growing conditions of the plant then the plant will die.

Before setting up your plants and garden here are a few of the things that you should check out on-

Check the soil type

The soil type is the most important factor that needs to be checked. The soil type can be of different types such as black soil, red soil, mountainous soil, alluvial soil, desert soil, etc.

The moisture content of the soil

The moisture content and the water retention capacity of the soil also play a crucial role in the growth of your plant. Make sure to get the moisture of the soil in your backyard checked by an expert.

The salinity of the soil

Before buying indoor and outdoor plants also check the salinity of the soil. If the soil has too much saline content then the plant might not survive for a long time in your garden.

Mineral and humus content of the soil

Like water plants also need minerals and humus from the soil. Get it checked by a gardener before setting the plants.
